What is inside the time tracking spreadsheet

Yellow cells are for your own numbers and text. Green cells calculate by themselves, so do not type over them. Sample data is included so you can see how it works, then replace it with your own.
How to use it
- Download the file and open it in Excel 2010 or later. It also opens in Google Sheets and LibreOffice.
- Replace the sample data in the yellow cells with your own.
- Read the totals and results that update automatically.
- Save a copy for each month, project or client, or print it from File > Print.

How do I track time in Excel?
Enter start and end time for each session. The sheet subtracts any break and multiplies the hours by your rate.
Can it calculate pay?
Yes. Set an hourly rate and the Amount column and totals update automatically.
What time format should I use?
Use 24-hour times such as 13:30 so the hours calculate correctly.
How is this different from the timesheet template?
This one is project-based for freelancers. The weekly timesheet template is made for employees and pay periods.
