What is inside the income and expense template
Use it for personal money, a side business or a small shop. You enter each transaction once and the summary does the rest.

| Transactions | A list of up to 200 rows with date, type (income or expense), category, description and amount. |
| Monthly Summary | Income, expenses, net and running net for each month of the year you choose, a yearly total and savings rate, plus a column chart. |

Colour key: yellow cells are for your own numbers and text. Green cells calculate automatically, so leave them alone. Sample data is included so you can see how it works, and you can delete it.
How to use the income and expense template
- Open the Transactions sheet and delete the sample rows.
- Type each income or expense on a new row and pick Income or Expense from the dropdown.
- Open Monthly Summary and set the year in the yellow cell.
- Read your monthly income, expenses and net. Negative months show in red.
