Paver Calculator
Plan a patio or walkway. A 12 x 10 ft patio with 4×8 pavers needs 594 pavers, 1.48 cubic yards of base and 0.37 cubic yards of sand.
How many pavers do you need
Divide the area by the area of one paver and add waste for cuts. A 4 x 8 inch paver covers 0.222 sq ft, so a 120 sq ft patio needs about 540 pavers plus 10% waste, which is 594.
For the base, a 4 inch compacted gravel layer over 120 sq ft is 1.48 cubic yards, and a 1 inch sand layer is 0.37 cubic yards. The pavers cost around $712.80.
