Last updated: October 2026. Plan prices checked on gohighlevel.com/pricing on October 29, 2026.
Key takeaways
- Starter ($97) includes 3 sub-accounts. Unlimited ($297) removes the sub-account cap. Agency Pro ($497) adds SaaS Mode and rebilling with markup.
- Paying annually costs 10 months instead of 12: it saves $194 on Starter, $594 on Unlimited and $994 on Agency Pro.
- Usage is the part people miss. HighLevel’s own guides list SMS at $0.00747 per segment, email at $0.675 per 1,000 sent and a US local number at $1.15 a month, plus carrier and registration fees.
- AI Employee is optional and priced per enabled location ($50 or $97 a month) or pay-per-use.
- One business with modest volume can land near $130 a month on Starter. A 10-client agency with AI on every client is closer to $1,267 a month before usage.
- Prices change. Check the pricing page on the day you buy.
How much does GoHighLevel cost in 2026?
GoHighLevel (the company now brands itself HighLevel) sells its platform as a monthly or annual subscription. These are the plans and prices shown on its official pricing page when we checked on October 29, 2026:
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Sub-accounts | Main difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 | $970 | 3 | All core features, unlimited contacts and users, 24/7 support |
| Unlimited | $297 | $2,970 | Unlimited | Adds unlimited sub-accounts, phone and email rebilling (no markup), basic API access |
| Agency Pro | $497 | $4,970 | Unlimited | Adds SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with markup, advanced API access, user and agent reporting |
| Enterprise | Custom (contact sales) | Unlimited | Dedicated account manager, custom development, white-label mobile app, HIPAA compliance, higher API limits | |
The page also states a 14-day free trial and notes that billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. It says usage fees can apply during the trial too.
A “sub-account” is a separate workspace inside your login, normally one per client or one per business location. That is the unit the plans are built around, and it is why the tiers read as agency tiers even though a single business can use Starter.
What is included in each plan?
All three self-serve plans share the same core platform: CRM and pipelines, funnels and websites, forms and calendars, email and SMS campaigns, workflows, and unlimited contacts and users. You are not charged per seat or per contact, which is the main reason people compare it to tools that scale pricing with list size.
What changes by plan is mostly agency functionality:
- Starter: three sub-accounts. Enough for your own business plus a couple of clients or locations.
- Unlimited: no cap on sub-accounts, and you can rebill phone and email usage to clients with no markup.
- Agency Pro: SaaS Mode lets you resell the platform under your own brand with subscription plans for clients, auto-create sub-accounts when they sign up, and add a markup to rebilled usage.
If you are a single business, none of the Agency Pro features matter. If you are an agency that only wants to manage clients and bill them yourself, Unlimited is usually the break point.
Is annual billing worth it?
Yes, if you are sure you will use the platform for the year. The annual prices on the pricing page equal ten monthly payments:
| Plan | 12 x monthly | Annual price | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 12 x $97 = $1,164 | $970 | $194 |
| Unlimited | 12 x $297 = $3,564 | $2,970 | $594 |
| Agency Pro | 12 x $497 = $5,964 | $4,970 | $994 |
Usage charges are not discounted by paying annually, and the plan fee is paid upfront, so only commit once you have run a live client or campaign on the monthly plan.
What usage costs are not in the plan price?
The pricing page says usage-based charges apply to Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI, email and SMS marketing, and inbound and outbound calling. It does not print the per-unit rates; those sit in HighLevel’s support guides. These are the figures from the LC Phone pricing guide (modified October 12, 2026) and the HighLevel pricing and billing guide (modified August 22, 2026), all US and Canada rates in USD:
| Item | Rate |
|---|---|
| SMS (inbound or outbound) | $0.00747 per segment |
| MMS, outbound | $0.0220 per segment |
| MMS, inbound | $0.0165 (local number), $0.0200 (toll-free) |
| Local phone number | $1.15 per month |
| Toll-free number | $2.15 per month |
| Outbound call | $0.0166 per minute |
| Inbound call | $0.01165 per minute |
| Call recording / transcription | $0.0025 per minute / $0.024 per minute |
| Email (LC Email) | $0.675 per 1,000 emails, all plans |
| Email validation | $2.50 per 1,000 addresses |
| Premium workflow actions | $0.01 per execution |
Texting registration and carrier fees
US business texting requires A2P 10DLC registration. HighLevel’s A2P fee guide lists a one-time $22.50 for Sole Proprietor and Low Volume registration or $64.00 for High Volume, plus a monthly campaign fee that depends on use case (for example $2.00 for Sole Proprietor and $10.00 for Standard). Carriers also charge their own per-message fees, which HighLevel says it passes through with no markup; the phone guide gives AT&T SMS at $0.0035 each way as one example. Per-message carrier fees on top of $0.00747 are the reason a text can cost more than the headline number suggests.
Prepaid wallet
Usage is drawn from a wallet that is funded from the card on file, so an unexpectedly busy campaign shows up as wallet top-ups rather than a surprise invoice line. Set the low-balance alerts when you set up.
AI costs
HighLevel’s pricing guide lists three ways to pay for its AI Employee: pay-per-use (no monthly fee, billed at token cost), Growth at $50 a month per enabled location, and Unlimited at $97 a month per enabled location. Phone charges still apply to calls even when Voice AI is covered. A third-party pricing review (SuperDupr, October 13, 2026) reports that the Growth tier includes 1,000 Conversation AI responses and 100 Voice AI minutes; we could not confirm those inclusions on HighLevel’s own pages, so check them before you rely on them.
Workflow Pro is a separate optional subscription for heavy automation: $10 a month for 10,000 premium executions, $25 for 30,000 and $50 for 65,000 per HighLevel’s guide. It does not cover ChatGPT or Workflow AI steps, which are billed pay-as-you-go.
Which add-ons cost extra?
Per HighLevel’s pricing and billing guide, these are optional and billed on top of the plan:
- Branded client portal app: $49 a month per enabled sub-account
- Premium prospecting tool: $29 a month per enabled sub-account
- SEO (Search Atlas): $79 a month per enabled sub-account
- WhatsApp integration: $10 a month per enabled sub-account, plus conversation and template charges
- Dedicated IP for email: $59 a month per dedicated domain (Unlimited and Agency Pro only)
- WordPress hosting: $10 a month for one site, up to $497 a month for the Truly Unlimited tier
- Premium support: $500 a month or $5,000 a year
- White-label mobile app: $497 a month
- HIPAA compliance: $297 a month (the guide notes it cannot be deactivated once enabled)
- Advanced account setup: $1,000 one time
Most solo businesses will use none of these. The add-ons that matter for agencies are the per-sub-account ones, because they multiply with every client.
What does a real monthly bill look like?
These are estimates built from the published rates above. Your volumes will differ, and we exclude carrier pass-through fees and taxes.
Example 1: one small business on Starter
- Starter plan: $97.00
- One local phone number: $1.15
- 2,000 SMS segments x $0.00747 = $14.94
- 20,000 emails x ($0.675 / 1,000) = 20 x $0.675 = $13.50
- Sole Proprietor texting campaign fee: $2.00 (recurring)
Total: $97.00 + $1.15 + $14.94 + $13.50 + $2.00 = $128.59 a month, plus a one-time $22.50 registration and any carrier fees. The usage part is about a quarter of the bill. The platform fee dominates at this scale.
Example 2: a 10-client agency on Unlimited with AI
Using HighLevel’s AI Employee Unlimited price of $97 per enabled location: $297 (plan) + 10 x $97 (AI) = $297 + $970 = $1,267 a month before any texting, calling or email usage. This matches the figure in the SuperDupr review. If you rebill clients for AI and usage, that is your cost base to price against, not your margin.
The point of both examples: the headline plan price is the smallest number in a bigger agency bill, and the biggest variables are AI and per-sub-account add-ons.
Which plan should you choose?
| You are… | Likely fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A single business or freelancer replacing a CRM, funnel builder and SMS tool | Starter | All core features, no per-contact fees, three sub-accounts is plenty |
| An agency with more than 3 clients | Unlimited | No sub-account cap; rebill phone and email usage |
| An agency that wants to sell the platform as its own software | Agency Pro | SaaS Mode, automated account creation, rebilling with markup |
| A regulated or large operation (healthcare, custom needs) | Enterprise | HIPAA, dedicated support, custom development |
A practical rule: start on monthly Starter, run one real campaign, look at your actual wallet spend for a month, then decide whether to move up or pay annually. Moving to Unlimited only pays off when the fourth sub-account has revenue attached.
What are the alternatives?
GoHighLevel is all-in-one, so the useful comparison is against what you would stitch together instead. We are not quoting competitor prices here because they change often and vary by contact count; check each vendor’s own page.
- HubSpot: stronger brand, reporting and ecosystem; pricing typically scales with contacts and seats, so large lists get expensive.
- ActiveCampaign or Keap: good email automation and CRM for small businesses; fewer agency and white-label features.
- Separate tools (a CRM, Calendly, Mailchimp or similar, Twilio): flexible and sometimes cheaper at very low volume, but you maintain the integrations.
GoHighLevel tends to make sense when you need unlimited contacts, SMS and a funnel builder in one place, or when you manage several clients. It makes less sense for one business that only sends a monthly newsletter.
