Interior work is where detailers lose the most time and money: a clean sedan and a family SUV full of dog hair are not the same job. This guide gathers 2026 interior prices by package, vehicle size and add-on, then turns them into a price list you can adapt.
- Basic interior (vacuum, wipe-down, glass): about $75–$200.13
- Full interior (adds shampoo and conditioning): about $125–$350.13
- Deep interior (extraction, steam, headliner): about $250–$500+.13
- SUVs and trucks: about 10%–30% more than a sedan.13
- Pet hair about $25–$150; ozone odor removal about $40–$200.12

Housecall Pro’s October 2026 guide gives $150–$350 for an interior detail.2
Location matters too: CDC Detailing says urban markets charge $100–$200 more than smaller markets for a full interior.1
Prices by vehicle size
| Vehicle | CDC Detailing1 | Blackout guide3 |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan | Base price | Base price |
| SUV / crossover | +20%–30% (about $50–$100 more) | +10%–20% |
| Truck | +20%–30% | +10%–20% |
| Van / full-size SUV | Not listed | +20%–30% |
Bigger vehicles have more carpet, more seats and a third row to work around, so they take longer. Price the size up front so you are not negotiating in the driveway.
Sample interior price list
Here is a price list built from the ranges above. The sedan base prices ($125, $225, $350) are example assumptions picked inside the published ranges, and the size uplifts follow the guides (+15%, +20%, +30%), rounded to the nearest $5. Replace the base prices with your own.
| Vehicle | Basic | Full | Deep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sedan / coupe | $125 | $225 | $350 |
| Small SUV / crossover | $145 | $260 | $400 |
| Pickup truck | $150 | $270 | $420 |
| 3-row SUV / minivan | $160 | $290 | $455 |
Add-ons go on top, priced from the next table. Put the price list on your website and booking form so customers pick a package before you arrive.
Interior add-on prices
| Add-on | Published prices |
|---|---|
| Pet hair removal | $25–$150 (CDC)1; $50–$100 (Blackout)3 |
| Odor removal / ozone | $40–$200 (CDC)1; $50–$150 (Housecall Pro)2; $100–$200 (Blackout)3 |
| Heavy stain extraction | $75–$200 (CDC)1 |
| Specialty work (child seats, Alcantara) | $40–$80 per hour (CDC)1 |
| Leather repair | Priced separately (Housecall Pro)2 |
Pet hair and odor ranges are wide because the work varies so much. A few hairs on one seat and a long-haired dog that rides every day are different jobs; inspect first, then quote.
How long each job takes
| Job | Time |
|---|---|
| Basic wash and vacuum | About 45 minutes2 |
| Standard interior, clean sedan | About 90 minutes2; 1.5–2 hours1 |
| Interior with heavy pet hair and food odor | 3–4 hours2 |
| Full-size SUV interior | 4–5 hours1 |
Divide each price by its time to see what you earn per hour. If a heavy pet-hair SUV at your price pays far less per hour than a clean sedan, your add-on prices are too low.
