Price by driveway size
| Driveway size | HomeAdvisor1 | Fixr2 | At $0.30–$0.40 per sq ft |
|---|---|---|---|
| 200 sq ft | $60–$110 | — | $60–$80 |
| 300 sq ft | $90–$165 | — | $90–$120 |
| 400 sq ft | $120–$220 | $120–$160 | $120–$160 |
| 576 sq ft (most common) | $175–$320 | — | $173–$230 |
| 600 sq ft | $180–$330 | $180–$240 | $180–$240 |
| 800 sq ft | $240–$440 | $240–$320 | $240–$320 |
| 1,000 sq ft | $300–$550 | $300–$400 | $300–$400 |
| 1,200 sq ft | $360–$660 | $360–$480 | $360–$480 |
HomeAdvisor, updated June 2026; Fixr, updated January 2025. The last column is our calculation: size × $0.30 and × $0.40, rounded to the dollar. A dash means the source does not list that size.
To measure, multiply length by width. A 24 × 24 ft two-car pad is 576 sq ft; split L-shapes and turnarounds into rectangles and add them up. Include the apron and any walkway you are washing, and quote them as separate lines so the customer sees what they are paying for.
Price by material
Both guides price a 600 sq ft driveway slightly higher for pavers, brick and gravel than for plain concrete:
| Material (600 sq ft) | HomeAdvisor1 | Fixr2 |
|---|---|---|
| Concrete | $120–$190 | $180–$200 |
| Asphalt | $125–$195 | $185–$220 |
| Brick | $130–$200 | $190–$220 |
| Pavers | $135–$210 | $195–$225 |
| Gravel | $135–$210 | $195–$225 |
HomeAdvisor’s material table comes out lower than its own size table for 600 sq ft ($180–$330); we show both as published.
Pavers and brick take longer because of the joints, and asphalt needs lower pressure so you do not strip the surface. If you re-sand paver joints after washing, price it as its own line.
Minimum charge and hourly rates
- Minimum charge: a small pad costs you nearly the same travel, setup and chemicals as a big one. Fixr gives the example of about $100 for a 200 sq ft driveway,2 and Always Do Better suggests a $100–$200 job minimum.3
- Hourly rates: HomeAdvisor lists $60–$125 per hour and 1–2 hours for an average driveway;1 Fixr lists $50–$150 per hour.2
A quick check: if your per-square-foot price on a job works out below your hourly target once you add drive time, raise the price or apply your minimum.
Add-ons: stains, sealing, hot water
| Add-on | What the sources say |

| Hot-water power washing | $0.40–$0.55 per sq ft vs $0.30–$0.40 for standard2 |
| Oil and grease stains | Quote separately;3 degreaser runs $10–$20 a bottle1 |
| Sealing after washing | $0.88–$2.10 per sq ft, or $355–$600 for 400 sq ft2 |
| Heavy mildew | Quote separately3 |
How to quote a driveway
Worked example, using example assumptions (replace them with your own rates):
| Line | Example |
|---|---|
| Driveway: 24 × 24 ft | 576 sq ft |
| Wash at $0.35 per sq ft | $201.60 |
| Walkway: 3 × 30 ft = 90 sq ft at $0.35 | $31.50 |
| Two oil stains, pre-treated, $15 each | $30.00 |
| Total | $263.10, round to $265 |
| Check against your minimum (say $150) | Above minimum, quote stands |
- Measure every surface and write each as its own line.
- Pick your rate by surface and condition, standard or hot water.
- Add stain treatment and sealing as separate lines the customer can accept or decline.
- Apply your minimum if the total comes in under it.
- Offer a yearly re-wash at the same price, so the next job is already booked.

Questions
How much does it cost to pressure wash a driveway per square foot?
HomeAdvisor (June 2026) puts it at $0.30 to $0.55 per square foot, and Fixr at $0.30 to $0.40 for standard pressure washing or $0.40 to $0.55 for hot-water power washing. HomeAdvisor’s average job is $210.
How much should I charge to pressure wash a 2-car driveway?
HomeAdvisor’s most common driveway size is 576 square feet, which it prices at $175 to $320. At $0.30 to $0.40 per square foot that size works out to about $173 to $230 before any stain treatment or sealing.
What is the minimum charge for driveway pressure washing?
Many companies set one because travel, setup and chemicals cost the same on a small job. Fixr gives the example of about $100 for a 200 square foot driveway, and Always Do Better suggests a $100 to $200 job minimum.
Do pavers cost more to pressure wash than concrete?
A little. Fixr prices a 600 square foot paver driveway at $195 to $225 against $180 to $200 for concrete, and HomeAdvisor shows a similar gap. Pavers need more care around the joints, and re-sanding and sealing are often added as extras.
How much does it cost to seal a driveway after pressure washing?
Fixr puts sealing at $0.88 to $2.10 per square foot for materials and labor, or $355 to $600 for a 400 square foot driveway, on top of the wash.
